Chocolate, chia & ginger cookies

  • 65 grams Coconut sugar
  • 125 grams Butter, in cubes
  • 30 grams Maple syrup, (or honey)
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 100 grams wholemeal flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 90 grams dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Milk of choice

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre-heat oven to 170 degrees celcius.

    1) Weigh sugar into the bowl and grind for 4 sec / speed 9

    2) add the butter and maple syrup and beat for 20 sec / speed 5

    3) scrape down the sides and beat 20 sec / speed 4

    5) add flours, baking soda, ginger and milk, and beat for 30 sec / speed 4 or until mixed

    6) add chocolate chips and chia seeds and beat for 15 sec / / speed 3

    7) remove dough from the bowl and roll into balls. Flatten with a fork or cookie stamp. Place on a flat prepared baking tray.
