- 2 tablespoon cocoa/cocao powder
- 1 tablespoon natural vanilla extract

Recipe's preparation
Add almonds, protein powder, cinnamon and cocoa to TM bowl and process 3 seconds speed 8.
Add dates and vanilla extract and process until mixture starts to come together, 10 seconds speed 8.
Add water while processing, 30 seconds speed 3 until mixture comes together and looks sticky.
Roll into 3 cm diameter balls.
Store in fridge. They last up to 4 weeks.

Awesome recipe. I didn't have almonds, so substituted peanuts. I did have to add a little more water, maybe peanuts not as moist as almonds? Omitted the cinamon, didn't think it would go well with peanuts. Rolled in coconut, as suggested .. Nice sweet treat, without being too sweet.

I used to make these before I had a Thermie - it's SO much quicker and easier with it! And the texture is better. I don't always use protein powder, and vary the nuts and dried fruit depending on what I have or feel like. Today's variation has crystallized ginger and goji berries. Yum!

I use this as a base for many of my bliss ball recipes. This recipe is fantastic, and very flexible. I, (on my second attempt at these) put in too many dates. Sticky, sticky! Hard to roll, but I learnt my lesson, and now they come out fine. I am now adding chia seeds, and styrian pumpkin seeds - DELICIOUS!
