Date and Cinnamon Scones

  • 40 g raw sugar
  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 160 g Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    preheat oven to 180 degrees fan bake and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  1. Place dates into the mixing bowl and chop 6 seconds on speed 6 and set aside.
  2. Place flour, sugar, cinnamon, bicarbonate of sode, salt and butter into the mixing bowl and mix 5 sec speed 6.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and the reserverd dates and knead 12 secDough mode
  4. Transfer dough to prepared baking tray. Gently shape into large circle and cut dough using spatula into 8 wedges. Seperate the wedges by at least 1 cm and bake for 14 to 16 min or until golden brown.
