Recipe's preparation
Pre heat oven 190 degrees
spray mini muffin pan with soy spray so the muffins don't stick
Add butter melt 2 minutes 60 degrees speed 2
add sugar and nutmeg to butter mix 10 seconds speed 5
add milk mix 10 seconds speed 2 scrape down bowl
add flour and baking powder mix 20 seconds speed 5
spoon into mini muffin pan
cook 15 - 20 minutes
allow to cool for 5 minutes
while waiting melt butter 2 minutes 60 degrees speed 2 pour into a small bowl
in a separate bowl add sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg mix with a spoon
dip warm muffin into butter and coat with sugar topping

I made these into normal sized muffins, it made about 7..i wouldnt do that again. I think its way too much "dough" that way. Mini muffins would probably be alot better as per recipe. I found the dough to be very bland and i would probably leave the nutmeg out for the topping if i ever attempted them again, its very overpowering i think.

The only problem with these
The only problem with these donut muffins was that 12 wasnt enough! Amazing and so easy my daughters made them. We skipped the butter at the end and just dipped them into sugar and spices and still stuck ok.
I can see this becoming a regular baking recepie

I doubled the recipe and it made 12 regular sized muffins.I doubled the topping too but didnt need to.
After they had cooled, I cut each one in half and added a teaspoon of jam. Yum!

the best, thats for sure. Tastes just like a donut. Only thing i did different was i doubled recipe and for the topping i just sprinkled it on top before baking and no added butter. yum

One of my first recipes I made. Super easy and tasty. Kids ate them straight away.
I made double the dough using 120g sugar, 120g butter etc. and used a 12 hole muffin tray.
I made double for the topping too but probably won't double it in the future as I have heaps left over.
