Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Preheat oven to moderate (180˚C) and prepare baking trays (line with baking paper or grease).
2. Add butter, caster sugar and brown sugar to mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy (Speed 3/30 sec).
3. Let the blades run on Speed 3 while gradually adding egg and vanilla through the lid. Beat until well-combined.
4. Sift the flour and fold into the mixture (Speed 2/40 sec). If mixture is too dry, add a dash of milk (about 10g).
5. Scrape down sides. Add the chocolate chips and stir, on reverse, until well-combined (Speed 2/reverse/10+ sec).
6. Pinch off teaspoonfuls of mixture and roll into small balls. Place onto prepared baking trays, leaving room between each for spreading. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until firm and light golden in colour.
7. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.

Tip
This can be made dairy free by using Nuttelex instead of butter and not adding the optional milk (or substituting a dairy-free milk alternative). There are also vegan-friendly chocolate chips available that can be used for the dairy-free version (check the "Accidentally Vegan" site for suggestions). The consistency may change a little, but it will still taste great.
