Gluten Free Orange & Poppyseed Cake

  • 130 grams Butter, softened and cut into pieces
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams caster sugar
  • 140 grams Gluten free plain flour
  • 140 grams Gluten free self raising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 Orange Zest off 1 Large Orange
  • 1 Orange juiced Squeezed from large orange
  • 30 grams Poppyseeds

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees


    Place butter, eggs, caster sugar, orange zest into bowl. Mix 10 secs / Sp 9.


    Scrape down the sides. Place plain flour, self raising flour, salt, orange juice and poppyseeds into mixing bowl and mix 20 secs / Sp 6.


    Pour mixture into greased cake tin and spread evenly with spatula. 


    Bake for 40 mins or until a wooden skewer inserted into centre of cake comes out clean. 


    Allow cake to cool in tin for approx. 10 mins before transferring to a wire rack.
