      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Preparation
  1. 1. Place the coconut in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes or until lightly toasted. Transfer to a plate.
    2. Wipe the frying pan clean. Add the oats, sunflower kernels and sesame seeds. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes or until toasted.
    3. Add toasted ingredients to Thermomix bowl plus ½ of the toasted coconut. Be aware that they are hot. Mill on speed 6 for 10 seconds with MC on.
    4. Add the dates, cocoa powder, and water, and mix speed 6 for 30 seconds with the MC on. Add more water if mixture feels too dry-1 tbsp at a time.
    5. Roll 1 tablespoon ( approx. 20gms) of mixture into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
    6. Spread the extra coconut on a plate. Roll balls in the coconut to coat.

    Store in the fridge.

Tip

According to my Fit Bit analysis the total energy of the mixture is 1201 calories or 4800 kj

59% carbohydrate 26% fat 15% protein

I make 18 X 20gm balls so approx 70 calories or 280kj per ball.
1 ball with a cup of tea at night satisfies my chocolate craving!
