- 250 grams unsalted butter
- 200 grams caster sugar

- 250 grams Self Raising Flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
2. Line two 18cm tins with baking paper.
3. Add butter and sugar and mix on speed 3 for 2 – 3 minutes or until light.
4. Add eggs one at a time until incorporated.
5. Add remaining ingredients and mix on speed 6 for 1 minute or until mixture becomes smooth.
6. Pour evenly into cake tins and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and remove from tins
