Marian's Version of Cut out Sugar Cookie Recipe

  • 125 grams caster sugar
  • 25 grams rice flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 375 grams plain flour, can be gluten free

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add butter and sugar and Rice Flour to your thermomix. Mix on speedCounter-clockwise operation 3 for 1 min.
    2. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
    3. Add vanilla.
    4. Add flour and mix on 2 mins Dough modeon dough function to bring together.
    5. Transfer to Thermat.
    6. Lightly roll your dough into 2 balls (one into fridge) then place on a floured work surface.
    7. Roll ball until about 1 cm thick - cut into shapes
    8 . Transfer the cut out shapes to a baking tray lined with baking paper.
    9. Preheat your oven to 190°C fan forced and bake cookies for 10-12 minutes. Depending on oven.
    10. Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating.

These cookies freeze well - make basic biscutes and then ice after defrosting.
