  • Nice, moist apple cake. Had no idea what size tin...

Nice, moist apple cake. Had no idea what size tin i should be using so ended up using one that was too big. Next time would bake in a normal round cake tin, although would need to cook for longer. Also chopped the apple too fine in the TM - would leave more chunky next time. Added a sprinkling of Mixed Spice into the mixture for a bit of extra flavour as well. Might sprinkle flaked almonds on top next time.

  • I had some crumble mixture in

I had some crumble mixture in the freezer left over from making an apple crumble. I left off the pine nuts and added the crumble mixture and it was delicious.

  • I tried making as muffins

Submitted by Andrea Lever on 15. March 2014 - 18:12.

I tried making as muffins first time, however wasn't happy with result as very dense. The second time made in a ring tin and much happier with result. My little boy loved both versions, but he loves just about any cake!
