THERMOMIX ® RECIPE
- 8 Glacé cherries (red), cut into halves
- 285 grams Self Raising Flour
- 70 grams Butter
- 115 grams White sugar or raw sugar
- 1/2 level teaspoon ground ginger powder
- 2 heaped tablespoons Mixed fruit
- 1 egg
- 3 level tablespoons Milk

Measure sugar into TMX bowl and grind 5 seconds/ speed 9
weigh in SR Flour, Diced Butter, ginger and process 5 seconds/ speed 5.
add dried fruit, egg and milk blend/ 18 seconds/ reverse blade/ speed 4. In cold weather it took up to 40 seconds for mixture to come together.
Place 16 spoonfuls of mixture (rough heaps) onto Thermomix baking mat and press a cherry into each one. bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees celcius or until golden brown. You can sprinkle extra sugar on top for that 'cake shop' look 😉
remove from baking mat onto cake cooling rack
Pre heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
You can substitue chopped dates and fine lemon rind for the mixed fruit.
