      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius.
    2. Add all ingredients to the TMClosed lid. Process for 20 seconds on speed 6. Scrape down sides and process on doughDough modemode for 25 seconds. If it doesn't come together into a dough add more butter.
    3. Roll out dough onto a lightly floured board & use cookie cutters to cut into shapes. I use small stars as prefer smaller biscuits.
    4. Bake for up to 20mins but check after 12 minutes and adjust time appropriate to your oven. Shortbread should be baked to a fawn colour.
    5. Immediately transfer to wire rack and sprinkle with sugar whilst hot.
