I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Biscuits
1. Preheat oven to 180.
2. Line two trays with baking paper.
3. Add butter and icing sugar - 5 sec / speed 8 and scrape bowl.
4. Cream the butter and sugar together - 40 sec / speed 4.
5. Add custard powder and plain flour - 20 sec / start speed 1 up to 4.
6. Spoon out mixture onto trays (see note below) and press with fork.
7. Bake 12-14 minutes until slightly golden and move to cooling rack (see note).
Icing
1. Add all ingredients to clean, dry bowl - 10 sec / speed 4.
2. Once biscuits are cooled, ice and join (see note below).
3. Leave until icing has set and biscuits don't move and store in airtight container.
Tip
Tips: Step 7 - Teaspoon-sized will get 50 pieces (25 biscuits). Step 9 - When transferring to cooling rack, pair them up size-wise with one face up and one face down, ready for icing. Step 2 - Ice all face down biscuits before joining so if you have been too generous or stingey you can rectify before joining all the biscuits up.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Easy and delicious!
I didn't have custard powder so just substituted cornflour. Made them quite small and got 13 pairs from the recipe. The icing quantity was spot on 🙂
The best. First time making yo-yos and they definitely passed the test. All gone in one day! Very popular
Love your yo-yos they are butterey my family and friends love them my daughter calls me a yo yo expert if it's crumbley when you bite into it and sticks to the roof of your mouth I hate them I tried many over the years and yours are the best taste just like my mum use to make they are a winner
Oh Yummo! I used to make the traditional Melting Moments for my kids as my mum made for me & my sisters. These are so easy and oh so delicious. Memories are Golden...just like these delicious little treats
Not sure if this is the same recipe I normally use but it turned out great. No changes. Made them larger using a spoon bigger than a teaspoon but smaller than a tablespoon. Made about 13. Hubby loved them. I might double next time. Thank you
Fabulous recipe quick and easy
next time I will make double the size and a double batch flinch they were too tiny being a teaspoon size
I found the mixture really crumbly and hard to work with. Maybe it's my flour.
So yummy! I didn't have any custard powder so subbed for corn flour and worked a treat.
Love These Authentic Recipes!
I was looking for a biscuit recipe to use some of the passion fruit curd I had just made. Although these melting moments tasted fantastic with the curd, it just oozed out when the biscuits were joined together because after all, it's more of a spread.
I whipped up the filling and joined up the rest of the biscuits and they were delicious.
I also added a blob of filling to those biscuits that contained the passion fruit filling.....OMG they were soooo good so next time I will add the passion fruit curd to the filling.
Thanks for a great recipe.
Thank you. These are just like the ones from my childhood.
ill be making these often, thanks again
