I made this for my kid's birthday party and it was a hit! I made a DF swiss meringe buttercream frosting with a little lemon juice to decorate. Will definitely make again. It rose perfectly, was nice and moist and loved by parents and children.

I made this today. Very good but I think next time I'll put in 2 oranges and reduce the oil to half the amount as you could taste the oil, although I did use grape seed oil. Not sure if this made a differnce.  I also reduced the sugar to 100g.

This was good! I was nervous to use the whole orange (I'm a new TM owner) but I think next time I will keep peel on.

Whoopsie sorry about that. That's what happens when you try to vary a recipe but don't read your changes well enough. Big Smile

    Submitted by rellemily on 3. July 2014 - 10:18.

This cake is a fantastic go-to recipe when cooking for those with intolerances. It's moist and always turns out well.

It's also an easy recipe for the kids to make (although it's tricky when recipe says to line a springform cake tin then pour it into a loaf tin! tmrc_emoticons.p ).

One tip is to chop some of the pith off so it's not too bitter.

    Yum!  tmrc_emoticons.)
