      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place eggs and milk into TM bowl.
  2. Add in plain flour, baking powder and optional sugar.
  3. Place lid on with MC and mix for 20 seconds, speed 5.
  4. BlendTake off measuring cup and while mixing for 20 seconds, speed 3. Poor melted butter through hole in lid. Mix for a further 5 seconds if required.
  5. Prep crepe pan and add a touch of olive oil/dairy free butter to pan. It may take a couple of crepes for the heat to be perfect and then you you'll be able to cook them all.
  6. Cooked crepes can be stored in the fridge. Leftover batter can be stored in the fridge for 2 days.

Tip

This recipe can easily be made with dairy as well. I always tip/move my crepe pan around once I first put the batter in. This is to spread out my batter so it is a nice thickness/thinness!
