      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

I make this a lot in my TM31, I think you can even fit in 1.5 times the quantities. I'm not sure why you need to wash the bowl after grinding the pepper. I don't. I can't see any reason that a bit of cooked pepper that is left in the bowl is going to impact the final result. As long as most of the ppper is uncooked. I freeze the paste into pills for the family and the dog.

Please note that the recommended amount of pepper has changed. Doug English now suggests using 2-3 teaspoons, not just 1-1/2.

  • ? Turmeric powder I think

    ? Turmeric powder

I think this recipe uses powdered turmeric. I tried it with fresh and realised too late. Needs much less water with fresh, as my mixture is liquid. Maybe start with one third cup of water or less and blend to a paste first On speed 6.

KoaM, No it isn't a curry paste. It's used to make golden milk, like this one: http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/drinks-recipes/golden-milk/258923

    Submitted by KoaM on 5. May 2016 - 08:24.

Is this a recipe for Golden Curry (Japanese curry) that is in the supermarkets?......packaged in a box and plastic tray, found on the shelves and tastes so good but full of nasties?  if it is, my wishes have been answered!
