  For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

  If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

Add 1 lemon, cut in half and 2+ eggshells saved from eggs you've used in other recipes. Mix 10 sec/speed 6

Use your spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Add about 1l of water, enough to cover the blades. Insert your measuring cup and set for 15 min/80°C/speed 2.

Pour out the eggshell wash and rinse your bowl with clean water then dry your mixing bowl and enjoy the effortless shine!

Tip

If you have a second bowl, after you've finished cleaning the first bowl, simply pour the used lemon eggshell mixture from one bowl to the other and repeat the method starting from the mixing portion of step 3.
