Toasted Muesli (no dried fruit)

Ingredients

  • 100 g almonds
  • 80 g Pecans or Macadamias
  • 360 g rolled oat
  • 100 g Sunflour seeds
  • 100 g pumpkin seed
  • 20 g sesame seeds
  • 120 g honey
  • 50 g Rice Bran Oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat Oven to 150C, line a baking dish with baking paper.

    2. Place almonds in TM bowl pulse twice on turbo speed.

    3. Put Almonds aside, add pecans or macadamias pulse once.

    4. Add remaining ingredients including almonds, mix 4 min, 70 reverse speed 2, may need a minute or two longer just check.

    5. Place onto lined baking tray and toast until golden. Watch as it can burn easily I set the oven timer for 6 min intervals and give it a stir each time.

    I use a 1/3 cup and have it with milk, vanilla yoghurt or fresh fruit coulis and plain yoghurt.

I sometimes add rice puffs to bulk out.

    Made this today, I used mixed nuts and added flaxseed and coconut. It was delicious

  • Yum!!! I swapped the honey

    Yum!!! I swapped the honey for maple syrup and used coconut oil instead of bran oil, and cranked up the oven to 180deg as it was taking too long to brown.

    Made it a few times now and love it. Have tried countless recipes and this works for us. I do add cranberries and sultanas after cooking . Big Smile
