Ingredients

Bec’s tomato sauce

  • 800g fresh tomatoes
  • 200g red capsicum
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 100g Dark Brown Sugar
  • 100g apple cider vinegar
  • 15g rock salt
  • 1tsp Onion Flakes
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1tsp paprika
  • 140g tomato paste
  • 3 chilli, fresh (optional), If you want a bit of spice

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to bowl and blitz 10 sec, sp 8.
    Cook 40 min, 120 deg, sp2
    When sauce is finished cooking, blitz 1 min sp10 gradually.
    Pour into sterilised jar and refrigerator or freeze.
