For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add 300g dried apricots to mixing bowl. "Closed lid" MC on and chop for 15 seconds Speed 6
- Scrape down sides of mixing bowl
- Add 4tbsps hot water
- Add 120g oats
- Add 80g coconut flakes
- Add 50g milk powder
- "Closed lid" MC on mix for 20 seconds SPEED 6
- Take a heaped teaspoon of the mixture at a time and roll into a ball, roll each bowl in reserved dessicated coconut and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
