Caramel and Walnut Tart

The Tart

  • 185 grams Marie biscuits
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 90 grams melted butter

The Caramel

  • 395 grams condensed milk, 1 tin
  • 30 grams Butter, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 250 grams Shelled Walnuts
  • Icing Sugar to Dust

Recipe's preparation

    The Tart
  1. 1. Lightly grease 2cm-deep, 24cm base pan
    2. Place biscuits in on 3 sec/speed 5
    3. Add nutmeg and butter in with the crushed biscuits
    4. Combine on 10 sec /speed 4
    5. Press evenly into base
    6. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour
  2. The Filling
  3. 1. Place walnuts into mixing bowl and chop 2 sec/speed 3, place into a side bowl
    2. Insert butterfly whisk
    3. Combine condensed milk, butter and brown sugar 100 degrees3min/ speed 2 caramel should be thick
    4. Add in walnuts5 sec / speed 2
    5. Insert filling into tart base, cover with glad wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours or until set
