For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- In Thermomix bowl place water, white sugar, powdered milk and salt
3 minutes
100°c
speed 4
this makes a condensed milk - Add to Thermomix bowl brown sugar, butter, golden syrup
8 minutes
100°c
speed 3
measuring cup off - At this point you can scrape the bowl, I don't bother.
cook for a further
20 minutes

measuring cup off - Pour chocolate through lid and mix
20 seconds
speed 4 - Pour into prepared tin
Prepare slice tin.
