Delicious, just like golden syrup dumplings.  I doubled the batter and made in casserole dish, was awesome And super easy.  I too made sauce first then didn't have to clean bowl in between.  Cut back on sugar a bit too..

  • Lovely flavour just like

    Submitted by wendyroo on 29. August 2016 - 09:20.

Lovely flavour just like golden syrup dumplings. Next time I will make sauce first then make the batter without washing bowl. I found their was too much sauce for the batter. Next time I will double the batter so their is enough for 4-5 people. Maybe make 1 and a half times the sauce as well. But very nice.

  • This is such a simple yet

    Submitted by sarelle on 9. July 2015 - 07:25.

This is such a simple yet stunning pudding, with ingredients most people have in their cupboards, so it is quick and easy to make at the spur of the moment, when only a pudding will do. It is buttery and caramelly and delicious, perfect for this cold weather! Teamed with caramel macadamia ice cream, it was divine!

  • BEST. SELF SAUCING PUDDING.

Submitted by Boots Madigan on 19. April 2015 - 19:38.

BEST. SELF SAUCING PUDDING. EVER!!! We doubled the recipe as we have a family of 5 and it turned out beautiful. Something this easy to make shouldn't taste that good. Even my Chef Husband who is the No. 1 Critic of thermomix recipes was happy. I guess that's the power of the thermie (and.. perhaps the power of butter and sugar! Haha). There will definitely be a fight over the left overs!

  • Have had this recipe printed

    Submitted by thermanatrix on 17. November 2014 - 21:49.

Have had this recipe printed for a few months now, waiting for the opportunity to try it and did tonight.  It was delicious.  It doesn't make a lot (only 4 small potions for our family of 4), but it was rich enough that any more would have been too much if that makes sense.  I used Coconut Oil (in place of Butter), Coconut Sugar (instead of Brown Sugar) and Gluten Free flour.  Turned out perfectly! Serve with pouring cream and eat it warm.YUUMMM
