      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Weigh pitted dates into 2 separate bowls as per ingredients list, then cover in warm-hot water. Leave to sit for 2mins then drain using simmering basket.
  2. Place all the almonds in the bowl and mill 8secs spd 10. (If prefer a smoother texture may be able to mill in 2 batches or for a longer time).
  3. Add 1 tablespoon coconut oil, cocoa powder, and 200g batch of drained pitted dates.
  4. 15 secs spd 10 (or until combined)
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and 100g batch of drained pitted dates.
  6. 15 secs spd 10 (or until combined well)
  7. Roll into teaspoon sized balls, makes approx 40-50 give or take a few. (dependant on size and how many you eat as you make them) tmrc_emoticons.;-)
