Tip

Ice cream can be made into individual portions by freexing in a single portion container or small sundae tub.

You can make a lower fat ice cream by substituting low fat milk for the Full Cream milk which still makes great ice cream but with a less creamy consistency.

A small inexpensive ice cream mixer will help freeze the ice cream more quickly (eg Kambrook Soft Scoops) This method will make ice cream in around 45 mins by chilling the mix in the freezer for 30 minutes and then making either soft serve or more solid ice cream.

Cocoa can be used to replace the drinking chocolate by substituting 2 tsp cocoa for the drinking chocolate.

Other flavours can be made by substituting the drinking chocolate with any of the following:

 - 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste

 - 1 TB strawberry jam

 - 2 tsp hazelnut spread (reduce condensed milk to 40g)

Make your own Coldrock ice cream by chopping up your favourite chocolate or candy treats in the TM and mixing them through your semi frozen ice cream.

The best ice cream I have made. It doesnt leave that 'fat film feeling' on the roof of your mouth.

Yummmmmmm! I quadrupled the recipe.  Made it as vanilla instead by adding 2 scraped pods. Popped in a jug in freezer for 30 mins, then into my ice-cream maker for 30 mins - SENSATIONAL!

  • Recipe can be doubled easily

Recipe can be doubled easily but it will take longer to set if in a larger container so I usually freeze it in single portions if making a larger batch tmrc_emoticons.)
