Easy to make but way too sweet! And I can't believe my 6 & 8 year old didn't like it????? I'm not sure if cacao gives the same chocolate flavour as cocoa and I also used brown sugar instead.....I might try again halving the sugar in the sauce.

  • Regarding creaming the butter

    Submitted by Timmeah on 29. June 2016 - 22:57.

Regarding creaming the butter I thought that too but continued with the steps and it turned out fine.  When I've done packet mixes of these puddings in the past you don't supposed to over mix it.  You usually just use a spoon to mix ingredients roughly.

  • Incredible, as a family

    Submitted by Tana64 on 3. May 2016 - 10:15.

Incredible, as a family pudding, or individual serves!

Simple to mix up; the ingredients are all staples in my pantry. When we split the recipe amongst four ramekins, the pudding was moist and firm, with a bit of a saucy base (couldn't fit all the sauce in). When we made it in a family dish, it was the sauciest thing I've ever tasted - beautiful with a creamy vanilla ice-cream.

This has become one of our regular desserts - thanks for such a simple and delicious recipe!

Great pudding. Did a double batch for 9. Lots of sauce (yum)! Just be careful when you whizz up the sauce - some splurted out of the lid, making a small mess.
