If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

If double quantity, use only 30g of butter (no need to double) and cook for 18 min/120C/speed 4, using Simmering basket.

Using Dark chocolate instead of cocoa powder: approximately 85g for 1 can of condensed milk - chop chocolate Turbo/2 sec/twice first and then follow the steps.
You can also use drink chocolate, but bear in mind that it will be more sweet and not so dark color.

Variation for coating: chopped chocolate, cocoa powder, desiccated coconut, instead of chocolate sprinkles.

No time for rolling in balls? Divide the mixture in small containers in step 2, sprinkle with chocolate sprinkle and eat with a spoon!

  • Quick and easy brigadeiro recipe....

    Quick and easy brigadeiro recipe.
When my stepson asked me to make an authentic Brigadeiro cake for his Brazilian girlfriend’s birthday, I had no idea where to start, so looked to our recipe community.
These brigadeiro balls (that adorn/decorate the brigadeiro cake) were easier to make and roll than I thought they would be.
I used cocoa the first time (for the prototype cake) and although everyone loved them, I will use chocolate when I make them for the REAL cake!
Thank you so much Danibene for a great recipe.
