Ingredients

Batter mix

  • 125 g rice flour
  • 65 g cornflour
  • 65 g tapioca flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp slaked lime water
  • 180 g Plain Water
  • 70 g Plain Water, (To adjust the thickness of the batter to your liking)

Recipe's preparation

    Crunchy fritters batter (Pisang/Cempedak goreng rangup)
  1. Add all ingredients

    125 grams rice flour
    65 grams cornflour
    65 gram tapioca flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp slaked lime water (air kapur)
    180g water

    BlendMix 30 sec/ sp 8 (repeat if necessary) until the batter reached smooth consistency that is neither too thick nor too runny.

    Adjust the consistency of the batter to your liking. Add in small increment of the 70 g water.
  2. If the batter is too thick, add in some water in small increments mix well in another 20 sec/sp 8
  3. Coat the cempedak (or banana) with the batter
  4. Slow CookingOn the stove, Pre-heat the oil for deep fry.
    The oil must be hot to ensure crunchy result.
  5. Add the coated cempedak 1 at a time and cook until it turned golden brown.
    Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crunchy results.
