Janine's Lychee Sorbet - Thermie and Friends

  • 70 g sugar
  • 350 g tinned lychees (drained and frozen)
  • 350 g ice cubes
  • 1 Egg white (optional)
  • 1 pieces Lemon Zest (no pith)

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Sorbet
  1. Place sugar and lemon zest in Thermie jug and mill 15 seconds in speed 9
  2. Add frozen fruit, ice and blend together for 10 seconds speed 9
  3. add ice and egg white and blend another 1 minute speed 9 till well mixed.

Tip

Add extra ice if you would like a firmer texture.

Use spatula in top of lid to help keep ingredients moving whilst blending if needed.
