Mars Bar Cookie Cake

  • 170 g Butter, cubed, softened
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Paste
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch salt
  • 150 g milk chocolate chips, reserve extra
  • 50 g White Chocolate Chips, reserve extra

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Mars Bar Cookie Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a 23cm spring form cake tin with baking paper.
  2. Place 170g butter and 100g sugar into TM6 bowl and mix 30 sec/speed 5.
  3. Scrape down sides
  4. Add 2 eggs and tsp vanilla and mix 30 sec/speed 5.
  5. Scrape down sides
  6. Add 250g flour, 2 tsp cornflour, 1 tsp bi-carb soda and pinch salt and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
  7. Scrape down sides
  8. Add 200g of choc chips and chopped Mars Bars 20 sec/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 2.
  9. Gently distribute and press down the mix into cake tin.
  10. Bake in the oven for 20 mins
  11. As soon as you remove the cake from oven, sprinkle remaining choc chips on top.
  12. Allow cake to cool a little on wire rack before serving. It should be a little gooey and chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside.
  13. Slice and serve warm with ice cream or a dollop of cream if desired.
