Nutella skillet brownie

  • 75 grams hazelnuts
  • 100 grams dark chocolate
  • 100 grams Nutella
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 80 grams Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 120 grams plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 50 grams extra Nutella warmed to serve

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Toast hazelnuts in oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Place hazelnuts into a clean tea towel and rub together to remove excess skins. Leave oven turned on at 180 degrees.

    2. Place hazelnuts into Closed lid and chop 2 seconds / speed 7. Set aside in a seperate bowl. No need to clean bowl.

    3. Place dark chocolate, Nutella, cocoa powder, and butter into Closed lid and heat 4 minutes / 60 degrees / speed 2.

    4. Add oil, eggs, egg yolk, vanilla and brown sugar. Mix 5 seconds / speed 5.

    5. Add flour, baking powder and reserved chopped hazelnuts and mix 5 seconds / speed 5.

    6. Spread batter into greased 20cm skillet, and bake in oven for 10 minutes until slightly risen, but still just soft in the middle.

    7. Serve with extra warmed Nutella drizzled over the top, and cream or vanilla ice cream
