  • 400 g caster sugar, 2 cups
  • 250 g Butter, softened but still cool
  • 250 g full cream milk, 1 Cup
  • 600 g Self Raising Flour, 4 cups

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Cake Batter
  1. Preheat oven 180°C and line 4 x 6 cupcake silicon trays with cupcake wrappers

    Cream Butter, Sugar & Eggs Closed lid Speed 4 / 2 minutes or until fluffy
    Add remaining ingredients Closed lid Speed 4 / 15 sec then use spatula to scrap the sides and incorporate the mix a little.
    Then Closed lid Speed 4-6 for 2 minutes

    I use a metal ice cream scoop to evenly distribute the mix between 24 cupcakes.
    Bake for 18-20 minutes

    Mixture can be halved if only needing 12 cupcakes
