Salted Caramilk Slice

  • 1 packages plain sweet biscuits, Arrowroot/ Marie
  • 220 grams chocolate, Caramilk
  • 200 grams condensed milk
  • toasted coconut
  • sea salt flakes
  • 220 Chocolate for topping, Caramilk

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Empty biscuits into bowl and crush 4 seconds, speed 6. Put in a bowl and set aside
  2. Counter-clockwise operationAdd butter and break up Caramilk pieces and melt 2 minutes, 60 degrees, Counter-clockwise operationspeed 3. If it needs longer, do in increments of 30 seconds.
  3. Add condensed milk and reserved biscuit crumbs and combine 20 seconds, Counter-clockwise operation speed 4
  4. Put into a slice tray or silicone tray and press down.
    Sprinkle with toasted coconut.
  5. Wash and dry bowl. Break up additional Caramilk block and melt 2 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 3.
    Drizzle melted chocolate over top of slice and refrigerate to set.
    Sprinkle Sea Salt flakes onto melted chocolate.
    Suggest leaving it out of fridge for approximately an hour before serving.

Tip

Alternatively you could use any chocolate flavoured block and create your own flavours.
Leave out of fridge for approximately an hour before serving.
Instead of sprinkling coconut you could alternatively add it into the mixture at step 4.
