  • 6 Figs, (I used dried)
  • 1 piece fresh ginger, (about 2cm)
  • 400 g can coconut milk
  • 200 g water, (add more water to make a runny custard)
  • 50 g flour, (or 30g cornflour)
  • 3 fresh eggs
  • 30 g cocoa powder, (or raw cacao)

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Put Pitted Dates, Figs and Ginger into the TM bowl and chop for 12 seconds, speed 9

  2. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula (chop again if necessary)

  3. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 9minutes, 100deg C, Speed

Tip

I topped each serve of custard with cream and sprinkled Fresh Apple Muesli on top for a great dessert to serve to dinner guests.
