Vanilla and Sour Cream Waffles

  • 70 grams Butter, chopped
  • 70 gram water
  • 150 grams sour cream
  • 100 grams full cream milk
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1-2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 230 grams plain flour
  • 70 grams caster sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place butter into mixing bowl and melt 2 mins, 90deg, speed 1
    2. Add remaining wet ingredients and mix 20 seconds speed 3
    3. Add dry ingredients and mix 20 seconds speed 4
    4. Scrape down edges and mix another 20 seconds speed 4 until you have a sticky batter
    5. Let batter sit for 30 minutes to thicken so you have light fluffy waffles
    6. Cook ladlefuls of mixture in your waffle iron
    7. Serve warm with your chosen toppings
