  • 1 sachets Foster Clarks Seriously Creamy Quick Custard Mix
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 600ml bottle thickened cream

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Filling

  1. Insert Whisk attachment

    Place in mixing bowl cream, sugar and custard mix

    Put measuring cup in to place

    Whip Speed 3 for 50 secs.

    2. Assembly

  2. Using spatula spread a dollop of mixture on a lattice biscuit and top with another lattice biscuit to sandwich the filling between.

    Use spatula to scrape around edges of slice.

    Repeat until all mixture is used up.

    Keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Tip

Instead of doing each biscuit individually, you can lay out biscuits in a container and spread mixture over top, then layer biscuits on top in line with bottom biscuits and cut between them.

This recipe has been created for super quick vanilla slice, great to keep packets on hand to whip up for those unexpected visitors.

If you have more time you can add icing.

You could substitute custard filling for the thick custard recipe that comes with your Thermomix,  use cooked puffed pastry sheets instead of lattice biscuits.
