Chai Smoothie

  • 250 g coconut milk
  • 250 g filtered water
  • 2 heaped tablespoons cashew nuts, activated
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup

  • 1 cm fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cardamon

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

  1. Place all ingredients into the Thermomix bowl and blend 1 minute/speed 10.

Add extra spices and ginger for more flavour.

Add more maple syrup if you like it sweeter.

Can substitute the water and maple syrup with coconut water.

    I made this drink for a Ladies breakfast meeting and everyone love it but because it was in the middle of winter I heat it up. It is delicious hot or cold. I also made it will cows milk and almond milk still delicious. Will definitely continue to make this smoothie. tmrc_emoticons.)
