For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Put veroma dish in place and weigh in elderberries (stalks do not need to be removed), use veroma dish to wash and drain your berries in the sink. Add 1000g water to bowl, insert inner basket and place a small bowl into the middle of the inner basket to catch the juice. Put veroma dish with washed berries in place. 10min / veroma / speed 1
  2. Carefully remove the veroma and place on a plate to avoid staining. Remove the little bowl in inner basket and tip out the juice into a jug. Place little bowl back in inner basket, put veroma back in place and repeat as long as there is still juice coming out. 10min / veroma / speed 1
  3. Once you are satisfied that no more juice is to be gained remove veroma and clean bowl.
  4. add 300g elderberry juice, 250g apple vinegar cider and 250g raw honey. Stir for 2min on speed 3, 40 degrees
  5. adjust taste to your liking (add more honey if you want it sweeter). Fill bowl content in a sterilised bottle. The content will keep in the fridge for several months.
