Fish delish

Ingredients

4 portion(s)

Fish and sauce

  • 4 pieces fish, not too thick
  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 20 grams Butter
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 heaped tablespoon plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chicken stock powder
  • 1 can Crab Meat, 170g, drained
  • 1 Cup Grated Cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables

  • 600 grams potatoes, washed and thinly sliced, about 3-4mm thick
  • 1 Cup, peas and corn ( or veggies of choice)

Recipe's preparation

    Sauce
  1. 1. Peel and halve onion. Place in Closed lid and blitz sp5/ 5-8 seconds.

    2. Add butter and saute on Varoma, sp2/ 3minutes.

    3. Add all remaining ingredients, except crab and cheese.

    4. Blend 90C/3 minutes, sp 4.

    5. Add drained crab meat. and mix through Counter-clockwise operation, sp2, 7 seconds. Set aside for later.

    Wash bowl for next step.

  2. Vegetables and fish
  3. 1. Put 1 ltr water into Closed lid.

    2. Place prepared potatoes into steaming basket and insert into bowl.

    3. Lock lid into place and place Varoma on top.

    4. On the next level, place peas and corn ( or your chosen veggies)

    5. Place second layer of Varoma on top and place fish evenly into it. Dot with butter id desired.

    6. Cover with Varoma lid.

    7. Set temp to Varoma, sp4/ 15 mins.

    8. Keep an eye on the fish..it may take more or less depending on thickness. 

    9. When everything is cooked, preheat your griller to high. Drain spuds.

    10. Grease a shallow dish (lasagne size is good), and place peas and corn on the bottom, followed by potatoes, then fish.

    11. Spoon sauce over the top and sprinkle with cheese. You may need to reheat the sauce slightly. I used the microwave.

    12. Grill under high heat until cheese is bubbly.

    13. Serve...and enjoy!!
