      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add luke warm water, sugar and yeast to the bowl and mix 25 sec/speed 2
  2. Add flour, garlic salt, thyme and oil to the bowl. Knead 3 ninutes/dough function
  3. Use immediately if you like, or oil a large mixing bowl, place the dough in the bowl and cover with cling flim or a silicone baking mat and allow the dough to rise for approximately 1 hour.
  4. Gently punch down the risen dough and separate the into 3 portions for 3 x 30cm pizzas or 4 portions for smaller pizzas.
  5. Prepare your toppings then preheat your oven. If using a conventional oven I recommend using a pizza stone and setting it to max temp and if using the Ovana set that dial to max and pop the door on.
  6. Using a well floured surface, shape out your pizza bases one at a time. You can watch this video here to learn how https://bit.ly/pizzadoughstretching. Add your toppings remembering that less is more and slide that yummy goodness into your oven until golden brown.
