- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 400 g can of chickpeas, Washed and Drained
- 400 g Can of Lentils, Washed and Drained
- 70 g sunflower seeds
- 6-8 Sprigs of Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 2 eggs
- 30 g Coconut Flour
- 100 g Almond Meal or Flour
- 40 g extra oil for frying
- Baking Paper to line tray

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add Onion and Garlic to the bowl and chop
3 Seconds, Speed 5
Add Oil and Saute
2 Minutes, 100 Degrees, Speed "Gentle stir setting"
Add Turmeric and Cumin and Saute
1 Minute, 100 Degrees, Speed "Gentle stir setting"
Add Chickpeas, Lentils, Sunflower Seeds, Coriander, Eggs and Blend together untill almost smooth
6 Seconds, Speed 8
Add Flour and Combine
6-10 Seconds, Speed 6
Check to see if Combined well. If not repeat last step
6-10 Seconds, Speed 6
Leave in the bowl till ready to bake or fry
If Frying - Add oil to frying pan and scoop out the mixture to the desired size.
Roughly the size of your palm
Mixture should be soft so take care
Cook till golden and you can easily flip over and cook the other side.
Then serve
If Baking - Preheat Oven to 180 Degrees
Place Baking Paper onto a tray
Scoop out the mixture to the desired size.

Tip
Instead of using Coconut and Almond Flour you can use 1 Cup or 130g Plain Flour
Serve with a nice White or Onion Sauce
Sunflower seeds make the top 10 list for foods rich in Vitamin E, Copper, Vitamin B, Thiamine, Phosphorus and Selenium. They may make it appear green but that is totaly normal. Sunflower seeds contain chlorophyll which reacts especially when combined with baking powder/soda and heat.

I was hesitant..... My mix
I was hesitant.....
My mix was a bit sloppy, so I dolloped it onto the baking sheet instead of trying to shape it. I served it in wraps with salad and hommus. The flavour was beautiful and everyone went back for seconds. Thanks for sharing xx
