Aglio & Olio 'alla Thermalicious'

Ingredients

4 portion(s)

Pasta Sauce

  • 5 cloves garlic, (peeled)
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 centimetre ginger
  • 60 grams olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chicken stock paste (or 1/2 cube)
  • 1/2 --- cup Hot Water
  • 1/2 avocado, roughly chopped
  • 200 grams thickened cream
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Recipe's preparation

    Sauce
  1. In TM Bowl add Garlic, Spring Onions, Ginger.
    Chop on Speed 7 for 5 seconds
    Add Olive Oil and cook on Varoma Temperature, 5 mins, Speed 1
    In the meantime, mix teaspoon of chicken stock in about 1/2 cup of hot water

     

    Add stock and avocado to TM bowl and continue cooking for another 6 mins, 100 temp, Speed 1

     

    Add to TM bowl, Thickened Cream and cook for 3 mins, 100 temp, Speed 1


    Mix into your spaghetti and serve with lots of parmesan cheese and a little bit of chili on top tmrc_emoticons.;) yum yum


    Notes:  This can be done whilst your Spaghetti (or pasta of choice) is cooking on stove top.

    Alternatively, you can put the sauce in a Thermoserver and cook your spaghetti in the TM

    (see instruction on how to cook pasta in your Everyday Cookbook).


    Variations:
    Instead of the Avocado, why not try other combinations.. some ideas:

    I was a bit hesitant to try this recipe because it was so unusual, but I'm glad I did!  The people I served it to were looking for seconds, but we'd finished it all and they had to make do with a copy of the recipe.  I used what I had on hand so replaced the spring onions with half a leek and the thickened cream with quark cheese.
