Recipe's preparation

Bacon, Chicken and Spinach Creamy Pasta
  1. Add spring onions and garlic to the jug

    chop 3-5 sec/speed 5

scrape down sides of the jug

    chop a further 3-5 sec/speed 5

add butter and melt 3 min/100 degrees C/speed 1 - Scrape and repeat if necessary

    add flour and cook 3 min/ 100 degress C/speed1

add milk, salt and stock powder and cook 6 min/90 degrees C/speed 4

While Mornay is cooking, sautee finely chopped bacon and chicken (bite size pieces) in a frypan on the stove and once cooked add  handfuls of Spinach until wilted. No additional oil required as the fat of the bacon suffices.

When mornay is ready - add tasty cheese, feta cheese, bacon, chicken, spinach, corn, any additional seasoning, or any other chosen ingredients

Select reverse mode / speed 3 until blended (usually 3-4 seconds) - hand fold to lift anything from the bottom of the jug and whiz again on reverse if required...

Add lemon juice to taste (start with half add accordingly) and 3 heaped Tsp of smooth Dijon Mustard reverse blend again...

    Season to taste

Serve with cooked pasta or rice of your choice

    Mix together and serve  tmrc_emoticons.-)

  2. While sauce is cooking, simmer penne or pasta of your choice in salted boiling water for the time indicated on the packet. (I cooked about 3/4 a standard packet of Penne)

Once cooked drain excess water and add sauce to pot and stir through.

    Serve and Enjoy!!!!!

Delicious!! I used 1/4 onion instead of spring onion, left the mustard and lemon out for the kids and had no corn. A big hit with 14 YO and 11YO as well as husband and I tmrc_emoticons.) Thanks

Very nice. I used leftover barbeque chicken which tasted fine. Also substituted fettuccine for the penne. Thankyou.

This was yum and easy to cook.
Made a lot of sauce, and I'd probably use less mustard next time. I used one tablespoon of veg stock paste in place of the suggested stock.
I would really like the ingredients list in a more logical order.

A hit with the teen, pre teen, 7 year old and the adults. I just found the recipe frustrating to follow as the quantities on the side are not in order of use. I added more chicken (had 2 adults and 3 kids) but didn't alter the other quantities and I still have leftovers for lunch. I will definitely make this again, thanks.

This pasta was a big hit for the family! Very yummy, I think I added more cheese than needed which reduced the sauce a bit but it really was nice.

  • Winner winner chicken dinner!

    Submitted by Eandreot on 7. September 2016 - 21:01.

Winner winner chicken dinner! Very flavoursome, i doubled the chicken and bacon quantity and added mushrooms. There ws plenty of sauce, enough to coat  whole packet of penne. Would be nice to add some parsley to the mix.

  • The flavour was really nice

The flavour was really nice and we enjoyed it.  I found the recipe a bit hard to read and I couldn't see an amount for pasta.  I also wasnt keen on all the dishes.

  • An easy to prepare dish. I

    Submitted by browneyedgirl on 11. April 2016 - 09:49.

An easy to prepare dish. I made some variations like adding different veggies (zucchini, capsicum & mushrooms), omitted mustard & lemon, added extra chicken but the base of the dish was the same. Cooked the sauce early morning for dinner and couldn't resist having it for my breakfast with toast. So yummy! Thanks for the recipe.

I really enjoyed this, although I undercooked the pasta bahahaa but it was very flavoursome! I left out all veg except spinach, and also skipped the bacon because my kids wont eat those - but this sauce is really yummy!! thank you
