      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place onion and garlic in Closed lid - Chop 3sec /speed 7

    2. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl.

    3. Add bacon to Closed lid - Saute 3min/110deg/speed 1 without MC.

    4. Add cream, water, chicken stock paste, paprika, cornflour and  salt & pepper to taste to Closed lid

    5. Cook the sauce for 5min/100deg/speed 1, placing the simmering basket on the lid.

    6. Place chicken and fettuccini (broken in half) into the Closed lid.

Ensure the fettuccini and chicken is covered as much as possible by the sauce by pushing it in with a spatula.

    7. Cook all ingredients for 16min/100deg/ speed 1, place the simmering basket on top.

    8. Check pasta is cooked to desired level.Add extra time if required.

    9. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh grated parmesan (optional).

Lovely sauce. It minces the onion extremely small and I used a spanish onion and sundried tomatoes so had a beautiful pink sauce. Flavour was amazing. I didn't thermomix the bacon as I don't like it, just cooked it seperately and used already cooked chicken that I wanted to use up and used Vetta pasta as I am a diabetic. Never will I yearn over take away pasta again! This was as good as any I've had. Thank you!!

I tried this for the first time and the family LOVED it! I didn't have chicken stock so replaced that with a teaspoon of vegetable stock and added 100g of chopped sundried tomatoes. Mine was very gluggy, possibly I added too much pasta? Next time I will try it with pene pasta as it is easier to work with in the Thermomix. I also instinctively put the blades on reverse so not to shred the chicken. A delicious meal the whole family enjoyed. Thank you for the recipie.

A family favourite in my house great for a quick yummy meal. I would say I always put my blades on reverse at step 6, so I don't get shredded chicken.

  • Great recipe. I had no cream

    Submitted by Carmar on 25. May 2016 - 20:54.

Great recipe. I had no cream or evap milk I normally use instead if cream so I used 3/4 cup milk and 3 tablespoons of butter and it worked. Hubby went back for seconds and my 3 year old who eats little at dinner time ate it all. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

This was a big success with everyone. I didn't have any thickened cream so used "Philadelphia cream for cooking" instead. Also added some chives and turmeric. Will be cooking this one again. tmrc_emoticons.)
