      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Love this. I basically double everything except the bacon, I put in 6 rashers, and I omit the parmesan and spring onions. It makes enough for 2 dinners for 2 adults and a toddler and then some! I actually used basmati rice the first time by mistake but it came out fantastic so I use it every time now. So filling and delicious.

Best risotto we've had in the thermometer. We changed out the butter and it was maybe a tad too liquiddy but the taste was great. Straight to the pool room for this recipe.

  • I slightly varied amounts in

    Submitted by whiteant19 on 11. January 2015 - 21:40.

I slightly varied amounts in this recipie - I tripled the chicken, so 3 big filletts and doubled the rest of the ingredients except the water which I could only fit around 380ml in and used 4TBS liquid veggie stock as I had no paste at the time...... I was a bit worried how it would turn out but it was perfect tmrc_emoticons.) - happily packed into 5 big portions for my boyfriends lunches xo

I haven't tried but I'd expect it to work out fine if rice to liquid ratio the same. I did a tomato , broccolini one which was good using same ratios
