      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Step 1. Boil a large pot of water and cook pasta with salt until cooked through

step2. Place cheeses in TM bowl and grate 3sec/speed8 and set aside

step 3. Place garlic and onion in TM bowl and chop 3sec/speed7, scrape down sides of the bowl and sauté 2min/varoma

step 4. Add all of the rest of ingrediants for sauce  including bacon and cook 7min/90degrees

step 5 Add the 30grams of corn flour for thickening , cook for an additional 90 seconds/90 degrees speed 1

step 6 pour sauce over pasta and stir through (I like to add a dollop of sour cream and extra salt and pepper on top)

Where are the speeds on some of the steps? And are you meant to use reverse on any of them? The recipe isn't very clear for a novice?

My bacon got all chopped up even though I cooked it on reverse. Cornflour went all lumpy through the sauce (should have dissolved first as suggested by previous comment).

Easy, quick & yum - kids and husband (& myself) loved it. Next time I will disolve the cornflour first in a little water or milk as I had a lot of undissolved cornflour lumps I had to squish and missed in before serving.

I added some chorizo to make up the bacon weight and grated zuccini for hidden veg. Used potato flour to make it thick. Not sure that the mayonaise would be an essential ingredient.
