      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Peel 2 carrots and cut roughly, cut 1 cerery stalk roughly then place both into the TM bowl, place the measuring cup on the lid and chop for 4 seconds/speed 5 then place in varoma bowl. Rinse TM bowl and place back on machine.

Now place the Varoma bowl on the top of the TM bowl, reset your scales and add the 200 grams of frozen peas and the 100 grams of frozen corn into the Varoma bowl with the other ingredients, now remove the Varoma bowl and set aside on the bench.

Once peeled, place the 1/2 brown onion and 2 cloves of garlic into the TM bowl place the measuring cup on the lid and chop for 6 seconds/speed 6, then roughly chop the rashes of bacon without the rind and add to the TM bowl and chop for 4 seconds/speed 5. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and repeat if you require the mix to be finer.

Scrape down the sides of the TM bowl again and then add 20g of sesame oil and place the measuring cup on the lid and saute for 5 minutes/100 degrees/speed 1.

Remove the contents from the TM bowl and place ontop of the mixure in the Varoma bowl.

Rinse the TM bowl, then place 1000 grams of water into the TM bowl, then insert the simmering basket. Place 350 grams of Basmati Rice into the simmer basket then place the lid of the TM bowl back on then place the Varoma bowl and lid and cook 20 minutes/Varoma/speed 1.

Remove the lid of the Varoma and place the Varoma tray inside the bowl. Get a sheet of baking paper big enough to cover the tray cruch it and wet it under tap water then place on the Varoma tray.

Crack two or three eggs to which ever you desire onto the baking paper, gentley stir and mix with your spatula then place the Varoma Lid back on the tray. Cook for a further 6-8 minutes/Varoma/speed 1 until your eggs are cooked.

Remove the Varoma Lid and with your spatula chop the egg across from left to right then from bottom to top. Remove the egg from the Varoma Tray and place in the Varoma Bowl with the other ingredients.

Find a large bowl and place your cooked ingredients from the Varoma Tray into it then add the rice from the simmering basket.

Stir and mix both ingredients well then add 2 tbsp of Soy sauce stir and mix well again, then add 2 tbsp of oyster sauce and stir and mix well again.

Now it is ready to serve.
