Ingredients

Sauce

  • 500 g mince
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 brown onion, Halved
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs (dried)
  • 40 grams olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock concentrate
  • 20 g Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 200 gram tomato passata
  • 1 --- carrot, Chopped
  • 1 --- zucchini, Peeled if kids don’t like green
  • 1 --- red capsicum, Quartered
  • 4 --- fresh mushrooms, Large

Recipe's preparation

    This is my children’s favourite Bolognese
  1. Add garlic and chop 3 SEC - SPD 7
  2. Add onion and chop 3 SEC - SPD 5. If your kids don't like onion, scrape down the bowl and chop again for 2 more seconds.
  3. Add mixed herbs and oil, saute 2 MIN - 100 DEG - Counter-clockwise operation - SPD 1

    Add all vegetables. Chop 12 secs, SPD 5, scraping down the bowl if needed
  4. Add stock, Worcestershire sauce, can tomatoes, passata and tomato paste to TMX bowl.

    Insert basket in TMX bowl and add mince to basket.

    Cook 10 MIN - VAROMA - Counter-clockwise operation - SPD 1.5
  5. Remove basket with mince. Use spatula to break up mince in basket and then tip mince into TMX and cook with basket on lid 15 MIN - VAROMA - Counter-clockwise operation - SPD 2
  6. Serve on bed of pasta and top with grated cheddar cheese
