Burger Sauce - Gluten Free

Ingredients

Sautèed onions

  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 50 grams Butter

The Sauce

  • 2 Gherkins
  • 180 grams mayonnaise
  • 130 grams ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Sautéed Onions
  1. Cut the onions in half, and add to the bowl. Add measuring cup and lid and then cut for 5 sec/Speed 5.
  2. Scrape down the sides and then add sugar, salt and butter to the bowl.
  3. Saute at 40 minutes/110°C/Counter-clockwise operation Speed 1 ... DO NOT put the measuring cup in.
  4. You are sauteing until caramalised, so extend the time accordingly. The end result should be soft, caramlised onions.
  5. Once done, put finished caramalised onions on a plate and let cool while you prep the next steps.
  6. Rinse and dry bowl.
  7. The Sauce
  8. Add the 2 gherkins to the bowl and chop for 5 sec / speed 4
  9. Scrape down the sides and add in the mayonnaise, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and the sautéed onions you prepared from earlier.
  10. Mix together 10 seconds / speed 4Counter-clockwise operation
  11. Transfer your burger sauce to a bowl or jar and refrigerate until needed, or use immediately.
