      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

this can be made in t31 i would not recommend doubling recipe as could splatter.

It has a sweet flavour sutable with cold meats ot on cheese platter,or with pork chop

you could add chilli for a kick

i just had lots ripe figs tmrc_emoticons.)

I made this last night to go with an Indonesian pork in coconut milk recipe. Absolutely delicious! Very spicy, but really fruity and cleansing.

My figs were very juicy so I had to cook for an extra 20 minutes to get a thicker consistency! All good though. Happy with the end result!

Thanks for this. Mum gave me a couple of kilos of figs so I was looking for things that didn't involve going straight to the thighs (ie cake). I love the spice in it and will be delicious with cheese. Made three little jars (approx 240g ea).

  • So good! Made this last year

    Submitted by KatieClark on 24. February 2016 - 18:28.

    So good!

Made this last year with excess figs from a friend's tree. I cooked a little longer and it was really good. I gave as gifts and gave away too many as I ran out before the next fig season. Picking this year's figs this week, so excited!
